Schulich Racing is an interdisciplinary team of students from the University of Calgary who design and manufacture an open-wheeled racer to compete in the Formula SAE series of competitions. From its inception in 1999, the team has grown to 70 members and has produced 19 vehicles. We aim to achieve excellence at competition, but also to develop skilled engineers and businesspeople. Based in Calgary, Optima Manufacturing provides precision machining. From CNC Turning and Milling, to EDM and grinding, Optima has the equipment and experience to produce precision parts for any application. Their excellent work has produced three generations of wheel uprights for Schulich Racing that have always exceeded expectations.

Altium provides the best PCB design software and high-powered tools for PCB designers. They graciously supports us with Altium Designer 18, a powerful PCB design software that we use throughout our car for data and power circuitry.

Scovan is a state-of-the-art engineering firm that specializes in innovation and Forward Engineering.  Their support has been instrumental in our success as a team, and continue to provide us the opportunity to pursue racing innovations and compete internationally.

DS Solidworks provides a suite of CAD and simulation tools to Schulich Racing. From Computational Fluid Dynamics to Finite Element Analysis the tools the variety of tools they provide are used all over our vehicles.

Javelin is a Canadian 3D solution provider that supported our team tremendously through the 3D printing of the intake for the SR-21. Javelin's manufacturing solutions have allowed us to design a high-performance, lightweight intake which maximizes the power output of our Yamaha engine.

Formed on the principles of honesty and integrity, Recon Metal is committed to providing the most efficient and environmentally sound solutions to Calgary’s metal recycling community. Their partnership Schulich Racing has provided us with the resources we needed to develop the SR18.

Shell supports engineering, and innovation in collegiate activites through the Shell Experiential Energy Learning (SEEL) Program Fund.  SEEL has helped provide us the opportunity and funding to explore our potential in the Formula SAE competition.

At Schulich Racing we use their Wave software package to evaluate powertrain upgrades and engine performance.
